  1. I am a bit older than you both and I remember a time when I kept a book handy so every spare minute I was in my book rather than on my phone.
    Fast forward, I had a job for several years that required me to be on call every other week. We had a no phone rule at the table with the exception of when I was on call. My husband occasionally ask me if I was on call if I was checking my phone excessively. I appreciated the check in to remind me to put first things first.
